My Story

Artist Foto.jpg

Jacek Apostel was born in 1967 in Głogów, Poland, and has lived in Germany since 1988, currently in Berlin — a city that has shaped his artistic thinking like no other. He has painted and written since childhood, not as two separate disciplines, but as a single language.

Since 1992, he has worked in oil and acrylic on canvas — today complemented by photography, digital processing, and mixed media. A process that cannot be planned, but emerges from feeling.

His works raise questions that have no easy answers: about the relationship between humanity and nature, about war and memory, about fear, hope, and the contradictions of our time. They challenge the viewer — and leave no one untouched.

In his more recent work, Apostel turns toward light: vibrant colors, luminous surfaces, compositions that carry hope and optimism into the room.

In 2025, his work was selected — among over 1,000 submissions — for exhibition at the Carrousel du Louvre, Paris, as part of ARTBOX EXPO — the beginning of an international exhibition history. Presentations followed as part of ARTBOX exhibitions at Art Expo Basel, Swiss Art Expo Zurich, and Miami Art Weeks (ArtBox Expo New York).
